Contemporary Waterfront Living!
The Docklands is Melbourne's biggest urban renewal project. Only minutes from the CBD, the Docklands precinct is turning into as thriving waterfront community, and a popular spot where Melbournians can live, work and play.
The recently released New Quay precinct of the Docklands is already home to residents in three apartment towers and one low-rise waterfront building, offering an unsurpassed lifestyle choice.
The bustling waterfront promenade, offering some of Melbourne's best new restaurants, bars and cafes, opened in spectacular style in November 2002. Enhanced by amazing waterfront views you can dine al fresco by the Harbours edge and the quality and variety is unparalleled.
The Docklands precinct is a true waterside community, and the NewQuay Marina services both private and public vessels. The first stage of the marina construction has been completed and consists of 28 berths. The second stage of the marina will be carried out over the next 12 months and once completed, the marina will have a total number of 98 berths.
Being right on the edge of Victoria Harbour makes all sorts of water activity possible. Sailing, fishing, rowing and water skiing already take place, along with special events including regattas and festivals. You can join in, or get a bird's eye view from the NewQuay promenade.
NewQuay has a fantastic location that is accessible for both private and public transport. With over 1,100 visitor car spaces servicing the precinct, footbridges from the CBD, tram, train, water transport and taxi service, NewQuay has already become an extension of Melbourne's CBD. You can catch a ferry from Southbank, Crown, Yarra's Edge, Victoria Harbour and on to NewQuay or even be picked up and dropped off in Williamstown.
